A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes...

Good morning! Emily Midgett here with you today sharing some inspiration using one of the new add-ons from this month's My Monthly Hero release: Wish I May Stamp & Cut. (Psst, there are a few kits left at this time, so if you're on the fence, hurry and get one before they sell out forever!) I chose to create a sweet little scene combining the new Wish I May and an older die: Floral Border with Frame Fancy Die.

To start, I stamped the little boy's silhouette from Wish I May using Intense Black ink. I then die cut the Floral Border with Frame Fancy Die, adding some color to the foliage, flowers, and butterflies using Soft Lilac, Bubble Gum, Fresh Lawn, and Green Apple inks with sponge daubers. I also blended some Soft Sky ink very lightly on my A2 card base to create a sky for the background.

Once I had added color to the die cut frame, I added some acetate to the back of the die cut to create a window for my shaker. I adhered the little boy to the front with some extra strong tape, then placed my frame in my MISTI to determine placement for the sentiment from Wish I May and the little dandelion seeds blowing in the wind. I added some foam tape around the edges of the frame to create the seal for the sequins in the shaker, then filled my shaker with Icicle Sequins.

Well, what do you think? I love the bright white with pale pops of color to make the black silhouette really stand out. Isn't the sentiment just so perfect for the whimsical feel of the card?

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!
