Sending Christmas Cheer

Hi friends. Kailash here with a card featuring the Swirly Christmas Tree stamp set paired with the Swirls Confetti Die. I love the images in this stamp set and had this idea in my mind using dark cardstock for the images.

I die cut the Swirls Confetti Die from an A2 panel of Peony Cardstock and then adhered it to another panel of the same color using Precision Glue. This is a great way to get texture without the background being too busy!

Then I stamped the tree image onto Pitch Black Cardstock with Unicorn White Pigment Ink using a stamp positioner. Keeping the stamp in place, I wiped the white ink off the stamp and added Egyptian Blue, Byzantine Green and French Pink Reactive Glitz inks. The colors can be added randomly on the image like I did here starting with the green for the tree trunk. It's so fun to watch how the colors react and create different colors with a beautiful metallic shine. I stamped the image twice to get good coverage and have the image come to life. Notice the pink ink color in the center created a slight yellow and purple hue.

I stamped the ornaments in the same way using Unicorn White Pigment first and the three Reactive Glitz ink colors on each individual ornament.

Next I stamped the branches with Intens-ified Black Ink onto Peony Cardstock. All the stamped images were then die cut with the coordinating dies.

I cut strips of Gold Glitter Paper and adhered to the back of the ornaments using Precision Glue.

The sentiment was stamped onto Pitch Black Cardstock with Embossing & Watermark Ink, heat embossed with gold embossing powder and die cut with the coordinating die.

To finish, I adhered the panel to a card base and added pearls with Pink Lacquer Pen.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope I have inspired you today!
