August My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #5 + Giveaway

Welcome back to the countdown to the release of the August My Monthly Hero Kit! Release day is coming up on Monday, August 3 at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. Now let's join Daniel who is sharing another beautiful look at this blissful kit!

Hey everyone! Daniel West here, sharing a card from this fantastic kit staycation themed kit. We have definitely decided to stay put here in Rhode Island, but it's not so hard to do in the Ocean State. We have so much shoreline with beautiful beaches and a gorgeous island destination out in the Atlantic called Block Island.

This year, I thought it best to use our would be vacation budget on improving our patio as a destination. So the card I created today, celebrates the beauty of staying home and enjoying new living space!

To begin, I created a mask with an oval infinity die out of some scrap paper. Next, I took out a Dove White card base and taped the mask to the front of it. Then, with a blender brush I created an ombre sunset background with Lemon Yellow, Red Royal and Navy Inks.

Next, I stamped the man in a hammock image with Intens-ified Black Ink and die cut him out with the coordinating Frame Cut included in the kit! I colored him in with matching Copic colors to mirror the sunset background.

To finish off the card, I popped up the die cut on some foam tape and adhered him to the front of the card base. Then, I stamped the sentiment in Intens-ified Black Ink.

I hope you enjoyed this countdown card for the August My Monthly Hero Card Kit!! Also, I appreciate you spending a few minutes with me today. I can't wait to see what you make with this kit!

Daniel- such a great card…just looking at it made me feel relaxed :-). I love how you mimicked the colors from hammock-guy’s clothes and frame in the background blended oval: an inspired and beautifully cohesive look! Thanks so much and Be Well.

Great card! Love the colour choices, and that this kit has a male character to add to it’s versatility!
