July My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #4 + Giveaway!

Hello, we are back with another Countdown to Creativity post before launching our July My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons on Monday, July 3rd, at 1pm eastern/10 am pacific. We’ll be giving away a kit on Monday morning, before the kit launches, so be sure to comment on every Countdown post! Now, join Jayne as she shares a colorful card using stamps from this month’s kit and an add-on floral set.

This month’s My Monthly Hero kit and optional add-ons are filled with wonderful floral, garden container, and sentiment stamps and dies. In addition, all of the beautiful images are ideal for coloring or watercolor painting.

To create my card, I started by simply stamping each of the kit’s fun, floral containers and garden tools with Intense Black ink onto a panel of white layering paper. Then, I selected a rainbow of colored pencils to easily color each of the stamped images. I secured the stamped panel to a black mat and then I added it to a celadon card base with foam tape.

Next, I embossed one of the lovely sentiments from the optional add-on set, CM193 Little Florals, onto a black oval that I cut with a Nesting Oval Infinity Die. After layering the sentiment panel over a larger, vellum oval, I secured it to the card with foam tape. To finish the card, I stamped three flowers, also from CM193 Little Florals, colored each image with colored pencils, and then fussy cut around each flower. I think that you are going to love how the stamps in this month’s kit pair so perfectly with all of the month’s optional add-on products!

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all of the comments left across all countdown posts and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, July 3rd, before the kit launches at 1pm eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to come back tomorrow for additional Countdown posts with more inspiration!
