June My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #5 + Giveaway!

Hello and welcome to day 3 of the countdown to the release of the June My Monthly Hero Kit! Release day is tomorrow, Monday, June 4th at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. Join us as we continue sharing ideas for using both the main kit, as well as the new optional add-on products that will also be available on Monday. Now let's join Ilina who is sharing another peek into this fun beach vacation-inspired kit.

Hi everyone! I hope you have been enjoying all the inspiration and peeks shared on Friday and yesterday! So, today I have one more for you.

To make the card you will need a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Snow Layering Paper. Start by stamping the ocean using: Soft Sky, Summer Sky and Deep Ocean inks (ink cubes of these colors come with the kit). Mask off the top of the ocean that you've stamped and using ink blending tool create the sky using Butter Bar, Soft Yellow and Soft Sky ink. For the clouds, stamp the second layer with Versamark and emboss with White embossing powder, next stamp the first layer using Unicorn pigment ink. Let it dry, or be very careful when handling your panel, so you don't smear the ink.

Once the panel is dry, create mask for the bottom part of the ocean and mask it off. Apply Versamark directly to the paper and emboss it using the sand embossing powder from the kit (this embossing powder is AMAZING). Stamp the sail boats with Versamark then emboss with White embossing powder, and stamp the birds using the Intense Black ink. Trim the panel down to 4" x 5 1/4".

Next, you will need to add the chairs and sentiment. To make the chairs background to match the sand embossing powder, stamp them on Earth Mix Layering Papers ( I used the Latte one) with Versamark, then emboss with White embossing powder and die cut them (coordinating dies are provided in the kit). Stamp the sentiment on Midnight Layering Papers (black one) and emboss with White embossing powder, too, and trim it. Adhere them to your panel using dimensional adhesive, such as foam dots etc.

Adhere to a Black note card.

Thank you for joining me today and I hope you are inspired to do something creative today!
