Rooting for You

Hello and Happy Wednesday! Today I’m sharing a card that uses the Color Layering Mangrove set.

Let’s start at the bottom and work our way up. My main panel is from the Foliage Mix Layering Papers. I stamped the Tribal Stripes Bold Prints in Navy Mid-Tone Shadow Ink on a Snow Layering Paper panel.

I used a panel of rice paper from my stash with a Nesting Oval Infinity Die. Love how the rice paper panel is a spotlight for the Mangrove image.

The Mangrove ink colors:

Solid Trunk: Soft Brown Shadow Ink

Detailed Trunk: Caramel Bold Ink

Solid Leaves: Green Apple Bold Ink

Detailed Leaves: Forever Green Mid-Tone Shadow Ink

I layered a panel of pale blue vellum from my stash on top of the roots. The sentiment has been heat embossed in white on black cardstock. I die cut it with the Nesting Oval Infinity Die.

I added a couple of enamel dots from my stash to balance my design and to help hold down the pale blue vellum panel.

I’m always a fan of gender friendly designs. The Color Layering Mangrove set includes several great sentiments.
