United We Flourish - Hero Arts and Ellen Hutson Stamp Set

We are thrilled to bring you the Hero Arts Better Together collaboration stamp and die set sold exclusively by Ellen Hutson. One of the best things about this crafting industry is the opportunity to partner with other great companies and today we are honored to do just that.

This is part of the Better Together blog hop. If you want to start at the beginning of the hop please go to the Ellen Hutson Classroom.

The set includes lots of fun images, sentiments and coordinating dies. It can be purchased in the Ellen Hutson store here.

Today we have a card created by Jana Millen using this set:

I was so excited to play with this stamp set. It has so many cute images! I was able to create a scene with them but there are so many ways to use it.

I stamped the images on white cardstock using Hero Arts Intense Black ink. Since I knew I was going to be coloring with Copic markers I wanted to use a Copic friendly ink. Once I had colored the images I die cut them with the coordinating dies that come in the set.

To create the background I colored white Alcohol Ink Yupo paper with Copic markers and then swiped the whole card front with an alcohol swab. That allowed the colors to softly mix together.

I matted the card front with Hero Arts Midnight Mixed Layering Paper and Hero Arts Pool Mix Layering paper. I adhered them to a card base made from Hero Arts Snow Layering paper.

The images were attached to the card front using foam tape and I added a few white dots to the bird house with a white gel pen. The last step was to stamp the greetings with Archival black ink.

Thank you for sharing your project with us today Jana!

To celebrate, two randomly selected commenters will win a $30 gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson shop! To enter just leave a comment on the Ellen Hutson Classroom blog by 11:59 PST on January 28th.
