Video: Woodland Forest Stencil with Texture Paste

Good morning everyone. It's Dana Joy here with you today. For today's card we are going to do a little bit of stenciling using the new Woodland Forest stencil along with texture paste and Hero Arts inks .

Watch the video below to see how this card came to be (or click HERE to watch on YouTube).

To create my card I used the Woodland Forest stencil with texture paste on Mist cardstock. I colored the texture paste with Soft Brown and Cup O'Joe inks. Mixing in the color to the white texture paste allowed me to custom color my design.

I set this panel aside to dry and worked on a sentiment strip and critter. Pulling out the Love You Deerly stamp set, I stamped a sentiment in Cup O' Joe ink on Sand cardstock. The adorable deer is from the same set and I colored it with Copic markers.

I trimmed down a piece of Sand cardstock using the Rectangle Infinity Dies and layered my mist stencil panel on top. I adhered this panel to a Dove White Side Folded Card . The sentiment strip and deer are popped up with foam tape. A white gelly roll pen was used to add faux stitching to the sentiment strip.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy the tutorial. See ya back here soon.

Very pretty, so so sweet, and stunning! I’ve not tried paste yet, but breaking up the texture color like this really makes me want to. I do love that effect. The sweet face on that deer stamp is so precious. I’d love to try this card. Thanks

Carol Wortman,

Absolutely gorgeous card, that little deer is so sweet!

Sheri Kempke,

I loved your card and the texture paste that was colored with the ink. I haven’t used any texture paste in a long time and think I should get it out and do something like you did. Thank you!
