Hello, crafty friends! It’s Marie here again from Marie Nicole Designs, and I have a trio of cards to share with you using the Rosie’s Studio Breakfast in Bed collection.
This is such a bright and happy collection! I was delighted to play around with all the patterned papers, ephemera, and stickers included. The colors and patterns are so perfect together that it is easy to create fun cards. Let’s take a look!
My first card is a birthday card that features a grouping of fun things that I personally would love on my birthday. Coffee, carbs, and a list of to-dos that are easily crossed off.
I used the fun patterned paper as a background, and then sifted through the ephemera and sentiment packs to find just the right items to include. I found the to-do list and wrote in my own items. I arranged all these things and adhered some down using liquid glue and some with foam adhesive.
This is so fun to create, and with the wide variety of ephemera pieces in the collection, you could make individualized birthday cards for friends and loved ones you know. Just add a grouping of things that the birthday guy or gal loves!
This next card was equally fun to create. I again used the patterned papers, ephemera pieces, and a sentiment from the sentiment pack. This time, I added some patterned paper banners to the background. When mixing patterns, I like to vary the size of the pattern. So here I have a large and bold pattern with the stripes in front, a medium pattern with the florals on the right, and a small pattern of hearts on the left. This way, there is some variety without feeling too overwhelmed. BUT, since all the patterns are in the same color scheme, it is so easy to mix and match!
I selected a large circular sentiment to add over my patterned paper banners, but before I adhered it with foam adhesive, I added some floral ephemera behind it. I mixed a few bold blooms with some shiny gold leaf branches. Then topped it with the sentiment.
It's always fun to embellish, as well. So I grabbed a few of my embellishments from my stash and added a few gold flat-backed pearls around the flowers.
My last card for this post (but definitely NOT my last card with this gorgeous collection!), is simple but it shows off some of my favorite paper designs in the collection.
I grabbed these gorgeous large florals and paired them with the bold green stripes. The florals also have gold foiling as their lines, so thats built-in glimmer right there!
I filled about ¾ of the card front with that gorgeous floral pattern, and then the last ¼ on the bottom with the stripes. Then, I grabbed a sentiment from the sentiment pack and added it with a thin strip of foam adhesive. It's such an EASY card to make, but perfect if you want to write an encouraging note to a friend.
