Instructions:

Catch step by step instructions for this project below. Click photos to enlarge:

  • Create folded card base that measures 51/2" x 71/2"; set aside. Die cut cream base with outer rim die. Die cut rose die layer using brush gold cardstock.
Option: adhere double sided adhesive sheets to the back of the brush gold, pale green, pale pink, and pink cardstock before die cutting. Tip: For the rose die, cut outer rim die first; tape decorative rose insert die to the cut base with interior window rim die. Run through machine. This will allow for a better die cut experience with detailed dies.
  • Save the die cut "chads" from the rose die cut. You can use for a future card.
  • Glue or if using adhesive sheets, attach brush gold die cut to the cream base. Die cut roses from pale pink and pink cardstock and leaves from pale green cardstock. Adhere the "chads" to the rose panel; you're basically "coloring" in the roses and leaves with cardstock! Only the roses and leaves were filled in for this project, but the entire card can be filled with solid or patterned cardstock.
Option: Instead of cutting the entire die with full sheets of cardstock for each color, cut cardstock to the size of the rose or leaves you are cutting out.
  • Adhere rose card layer to card base. Die cut flourish in brush gold and pink; glue together with pink die cut as a shadow. Adhere to center of card. Stamp, die cut, or Glimmer (hot foil) sentiment. Layer over flourish with foam adhesive.

Today, I’m sharing a Christmas step-by-step card tutorial featuring the Polar Friends Stamp and Die Set by Simon Hurley. This card was inspired by the Christmas advertisements I remember seeing on television when I was a child in the 1990s. They often featured polar bears surrounded by...
