Glimmer Hot Foil Inspiration | Clean & Simple Foiled Cards with Laurie Willison

Hello there, it’s Laurie Willison here from Soapbox Creations.   I am so excited to be here today at Spellbinders, with a few new project using the January Glimmer Plates with the Glimmer Hot Foil System.  If you are new to the Hot Foiling, then stay tuned so I can show you the kind of projects you can make with this amazing system! I tend to make projects that are clean and simple and using Hot Foil is a fun way to add a little detail to a card.  By keeping it simple, I can let that foil shine! No pun intended :) .

To create this card, I used the Everyday Sentiments II to add a simple gold foiled sentiment to the aqua card front.  Next, I stamped the floral bouquet from Floral Love Stamp Set along the side of the card front. To give it a little extra detail, I cut the card into 3 sections and added it to the black card front.

This was a fun clean and simple card to create.  I stamped the LOVE sentiment on the card front and then added the circle image.  I ran the Scattered Dot Pattern Glimmer Plate through the Hot Foil System with Red Glimmer Foil and then die cut the heart out of the middle of the panel.  To make that heart pop, I did a little in blending along the bottom of the die cut. I added that to the card with foam tape for a little dimension. I finished off the card by adding the white card front to a red card base.

I simply ran this glimmer plate through the Hot Foil system with some pink Glimmer Foil.  I love how this large foiled image can add so much to a card. I wanted to keep it simple, of course, and I added it to a pink card base after running the main image through with a Rectangle Nestabilities die.  Those Nestabilities are must have for your crafty stash. I just love how they make a project looks so finished with that embossed edge.
