Hexi-Gems Collection with Leica Palma

Hello and welcome to the Spellbinders Blog! It’s Leica here. Today, I want to share with you three stunning cards that I created using the Spellbinders Hexi-Gems Collection. This collection is full of intricate dies and glimmer plates that are perfect for adding an elegant touch to your crafting projects.

The first card that I want to share with you is a Congratulations card. This A2-sized card features a white cardstock panel with a decorated edge frame. To create the focal point of the card, I used the Hexi-Gem Blooms Glimmer Hot Foil Plate. I also cut 5 different layers from the Essential Hexi-Gems Etched Dies to create depth and dimension. For the sentiment, I used the Hexi-Gem Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. The different layers and intricate details of this card are what make it truly special.

The second card that I want to share with you is a Happy Birthday card. To add texture to the card panel, I used the Leafy 3D Embossing Folder and the Barely Peach cardstock from Spellbinders. I hot-foiled the Glimmer Hexi-Gem Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and added a layer of vellum that I cut with the Essential Hexi-Gems Etched Dies. I hot-foiled the Hexi-Gem Blooms Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and colored the beautiful bouquet with Copic markers. I added a sentiment from the Hexi-Gem Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set to finish off the card. The result is a stunning and unique birthday card that is sure to impress the recipient.

The third and final card that I want to share with you is a special card that I created for my husband for our wedding anniversary. The sentiment "Love You More" is perfect for this occasion. I started with the Silver Fox cardstock that I ran through the die-cut machine with the Beveled Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder. I used the Stitched Kaleidoscope Hexi-Gem Etched Dies and added stitching with gold embroidery floss. I matted this onto a hexagon panel from the Essential Hexi-Gems Etched Dies. Like the other cards, the sentiment is from the Hexi-Gem Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. The result is a romantic and elegant card that I know my husband will love.
