Little Loves Inspiration | You Make Me Smile with Rubeena

Hi, crafty friends! This is Rubeena from A Rare Ruby, and I’m so excited to be a guest designer again on the Spellbinders Blog today. This post is part of a series featuring the Little Loves Collection by Sharyn Sowell! You can find my first post here and my second post here. For today’s card, I used Little Loves A2 Card Front die. It covers the entire card so you do not really need much else to work with.

To begin, I first die-cut Little Loves A2 Card Front using watercolor cardstock and the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. I removed all the negatives with the Tool ’N One, one of my favorite essential tools!

I watercolored the entire frame with my Mijello Mission Gold watercolors. I added some black and white splatters once the piece dried. I feel like this gives it a nice effect. I went back and added in details on their clothes with a black pen. I mounted the frame over my cardbase with foam tape.

The sentiment was stamped onto black cardstock with VersaMark ink and heat-embossed with white embossing powder. I trimmed it down and mounted it over the top with foam tape.

And that is all! I hope you enjoyed how I featured the Little Loves Collection. It’s a delightful collection that is great for uplifting or motivational cards. These are my favorite kinds of cards to create. Thanks for stopping by!
