Make a Tickled Pink Flamingo Envelope with the FSJ Scoring Board

Oh crafty friends, it's Laura Williams here, and I have a sweet flamingo project to share with you today! This handmade card features the Tickled Pink Stamp Set as well as the FSJ Scoring Board, bright spring colors, and a fun idea that can be customized for ANY occasion. Are you ready?

I LOVE the way the colors and patterns came together to create a sweet tropical feel for this project. Let's get right to it and I'll show you just how to create this card. You may have noticed, this card features an envelope used in a new way! Cool, right? The envelope becomes part of the project for this card, and it's so simple to do.

First, make an envelope from patterned paper, with the FSJ Scoring Board, but don't adhere it together yet. (Need a refresher on envelope-making? Check out our video tutorials at the end of this post!)

Next, trim off the two short flaps from the envelope.

Then, fold the two remaining sides in to assemble the envelope, and add a little adhesive at the points where they overlap.

Now, comes the fun part, decorating it! I added a patterned paper band around the envelope, and a die cut circle. Then I layered on some stamped and die cut leaves, the pretty flamingo, and a sentiment. I finished it off with Candy Drops and a Whip Cream Thread bow.

Creating the card for the inside can be pretty simple. Think about what portion will show once the card is tucked inside. I like the simplicity of a white card, matted with pink, to balance with my busy patterned papers.

Once the card is done, slide it into the envelope and add a clip to hold it in place. Can't you imagine so many possibilities for this card design? Graduation announcements, Mother's Day and Father's Day cards, birthday cards - the crafty possibilities are endless (and in fact, I've talked myself into wanting to make another one right now!) Join me, and try out this fun cardmaking idea! Be sure to tag #funstampersjourney if you share it on Instagram or Pinterest. I definitely want to see what you create!
