Special Moments Inspiration | Vintage-Style Special Occasion Card with Jean

Hello everyone. This is Jean Manis, and I am delighted to be back today with another project showcasing the Special Moments Collection by Marisa Job. In case you missed my first post, you can find it here. Designed with a special occasion in mind, I used several dies from the collection to create my card. Let’s take a look!

To begin, I used dies in the Vintage Stitched Squares Dies set to cut and emboss the patterned paper squares, which were attached to a 4 ¼" x 4 ¼" card base. Next, I cut a white cardstock circle with a die in the Special Day Frame set, to which I attached the sentiment, cut from brushed gold cardstock with dies in the same set.

Using the Floral Oval Dies, I cut and embossed the floral spray. I used the same set to cut the individual flowers. Before adding the blooms to the spray, I applied Nuvo Crystals Drops to their centers. To add some sparkle, I brushed the blooms with a glitter pen. To soften the transition between the sentiment circle and the patterned paper panel, and to help frame the sentiment, I cut a circle from vellum using a die in the Miss You Swirl set. I added the vellum circle and sentiment circle to the card base and then arranged the assembled floral spray around the two.

The dies in the Special Moments Collection by Marisa Job “play well” together! It’s easy to mix and match the sets.
