Stunning Watercolor Floral Card + Glimmer Accents | Spellbinders Live

Join Kim Kesti live in the Creative Classroom as she walks you through a beautiful stamped floral card featuring Sushma Hegde's hand drawn wildflowers, watercolors + Glimmer accents make this card one to remember.

To create this card, begin by stamping flowers from the Beauty in Bloom stamp set around the sides of a cardstock panel. Kim used the diamond shape from the Diamond Floral Frame Glimmer Plate and Die Set to add on top as a focal point. You’ll love the way the stamped flowers peek out from behind the die cut shape (refer to the diamond shape to help guide the placement of flowers as you stamp). Use a blending brush and watercolors to add color to the beautiful blooms. Kim used Jane Davenport’s Brights watercolor set. Watercolor is loose and forgiving and it doesn’t have to be precise. Have FUN adding color to the wildflower images. In today’s video, Kim shows simple color mixing and blending to create pops of color and subtle shading. If you feel hesitant about trying out watercolor, Kim will help you feel confident to pull out a paintbrush and give it a try! To finish off the card, add an elegant Glimmer sentiment. Yana’s Special Sentiments is a Glimmer set of five large sentiments with matching dies, plus smaller supporting sentiments to mix and match. It’s the perfect finish to this beautiful floral card.
