A Waffle Lot

Hi, Friends! Caly here with you today sharing a sweet card that's perfect for Valentine's Day. I'm using a few of the new add-ons from this month so let's get started!

I started by stamping the waffles and strawberries from the Color Layering Waffle set. I used Soft Vanilla for the lightest color layer, then Butter Bar, and finally, Cup O' Joe for the outline stamp. For the strawberries and hearts, I used Strawberry Hybrid Ink. I die-cut the images using the Color Layering Waffle Dies and began working on the other elements on the card.

I used the Nested Circles Die die to cut a circle to create the focal point of the card. The sentiment above is actually one that I masked and split apart to stamp in two areas between the waffle image. After stamping the sentiment, I used the Snow & Froth Kit to emboss the puff to create whipped cream. I thought that would make the card fun and give it extra dimension.

To create the background, I used the Bursting with Love Bold Prints background stamp and inked it up with Versamark ink. I covered the white card panel with White Satin Pearl embossing powder and heat set it to reveal a soft and shimmery background. Before adhering the focal image from the previous step, I ink blended some Strawberry Hybrid Ink softly on the background panel to help create a soft glow under the circle. I adhered the circle using foam tape and adhered a few hearts and finished off the card by adding Crystal Clear Lacquer to the hearts for some extra shine and dimension.

I hope you've enjoyed this project! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
