August My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #5 + Giveaway

Hello! We're here with one last peek at this month's kit, one less than normal this month. Next time we see you, we'll be announcing the winner of a free kit on Monday morning, so be sure to comment on all of the Countdown posts! The release of the August My Monthly Hero Kit is Monday, August 5th at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. Now let's join Libby for her card featuring the August kit!

I'm excited to be popping in with a look at this month's kit! There are so many fun images in this kit, it was hard to decide what to use. But this time I actually chose the message I wanted to use, and worked from there!

There are so many fun messages in this kit! "You slay", "happy day of thy birth", "thou be-eth on fire" - but my favorite is "welcome to the middle ages"! Being a middle aged princess myself, it was only fitting I use this one! I chose a princess (or is she a damsel?) and a knight, and created my background by alternating the stamping between the two images. I colored them with my Copics, then stamped and colored two additional images which I die cut with the matching dies included in the kit. I used a piece of Classic Vellum for the focal point, die cut with my Circle Infinity Dies, and set it off with some Amethyst cardstock. The message was embossed in Silver using the new Embossing & Watermark Ink. A little glitter glue on the princess made her extra special.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post. We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts. The winner will be announced first thing Monday morning, August 5th, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Thanks for stopping by,
