Awesome Add-ons: February Edition

mmh_awesomeaddons_600

Hi stampers! We’re back with our Awesome Add-ons feature for this month. Here’s a peek at all seven of the add-on products that were introduced along with the February kit — three 4×6″ clear stamp sets, two coordinating Frame Cut die sets, one full card-sized Fancy Die, and a set of cloud-shaped nesting Infinity Dies. Lots of fun options this month, whether you pair these goodies with the kit or use them separately!

Today our Creative Team is going to share some fabulous “beyond the kit” ideas for these fun add-ons. First up is Amy with an adorable DIY project!

Amy: I couldn’t wait to play with the Nesting Clouds Infinity Dies. I wanted to design something other than a card so I decided to work with a hoop!

The beauty of the Infinity Dies is there is always the perfect size! Working with a 4 inch hoop, I was able to find a 4 inch circle from the Circle Infinity Dies. My base is from the Pool Mixed Layering Paper pack. The cloud has been cut from marbled felt that was in my stash. I added the Nesting Hearts Infinity Dies to my project. I couldn’t resist pink hearts, from the Blush Mixed Layering Paper pack.

The sentiment is from the Little Messages Stamp & Cut set. I used Soft Pink Shadow Ink and the coordinating banner die. Makes for a sweet Valentine’s giftie!

And next, Libby shares a sweet card for sending support to a friend.

Libby: I literally squealed when I first saw the Raining Cats and Dogs add-on stamp set. It’s absolutely adorable! And my favorite part? The little cat- and dog-shaped raindrops! I had to use them on today’s card.

For my card, I stamped the raindrops (fluffdrops?) in Intense Black ink, then colored with my Copic markers. After coloring the background with Copics too, I masked off the fluffdrops and added the little background hearts in Soft Pink ink. I used the matching dies to cut three clouds, then coated them with Bo Bunny Glitter Paste. Glossy Accents gave the fluffdrops a touch of shine, and after adding the message, I cut out the tiniest heart from the Nesting Hearts Infinity Dies and added it after coloring it pink.

We hope you enjoyed today’s projects featuring just a few of the February add-ons. Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy weekend!
