Today Creative Team member Ilina Crouse is going to share some fabulous “beyond the kit” ideas for a few of the add-ons. Take it away, Ilina...

Hope you have enjoyed the peeks and all the projects shared in the last few days using the September My Monthly Hero kit and the add ons. I personally love fall, so all the add-ons are my favorite and it was hard picking a couple to use for my projects today. I have two cards for you today using the Color Layering Red Panda and Textured Leaves sets.

So let's get started. For my first card I used the Color Layering Red Panda along with the Ink Painting Scene set. To make the card cut a Snow Layering paper panel 4” x 5 ¼” and die cut using Rounded Rectangle Infinity Dies to make a frame. Stamp the panda in layers using Just Rust, Ombre Autumn and Intense Black ink and die cut.

Stamp mountains using Cup O’Joe ink onto Kraft paper and cut them out. Next stamp the sentiment onto a Kraft layering strip using Versamark and emboss with White embossing powder.

Position the white frame you made over a Pool note card and position where you would like the clouds to be. Remove the frame and stamp the clouds with Versamark and emboss with White Embossing Powder.

Adhere the mountains on the back side of the frame using foam tape and adhere onto the Pool note card. To finish off the card adhere the sentiment and the panda.

For my second card I used the Textured Leaves set along with the Autumn Bounty Stamp & Cut and Ornate Floral Stencil.

To make the card start by cutting a Snow Layering Paper panel measuring 4” x 5 ¼”. Secure the Ornate Floral stencil over it and apply White modeling paste and let it dry. In the meantime stamp leaves using Autumn Ombre ink and over-stamp on top with Versamark, then emboss with ultra fine embossing powder and die cut.

Stamp sentiment onto brown card stock using Versamark ink and emboss with White embossing powder. Trim to size. Assemble the panel and add a few Champagne sequins, then adhere to a Kraft note card.

A reminder for all My Monthly Hero subscribers: You have the opportunity to add extra items, including but not limited to add-ons, to your kit shipments with no additional shipping charges. Simply log in to your Hero Arts store account and place your order by 11:59am PT today to take advantage of this offer.

Happy stamping!

These add ons are so uniquely designed. The cards that showcase them are so lovely. tfs

Helen,

Awesome cards Ilina. The Thanksgiving card is my favorite, the Ornate Floral Stencil combined with the gorgeous Textured Leaves stampset stamped with the Autumn Ombre ink is stunning. Thank you so much for your time and effort to show this.

Henriëtte,

Beautiful cards….love all the new additions to this month’s kit. Thanks Hero Arts!

Karen Hale,

Lovely cards! :)

Karthikha Uday,

Really like both cards, but especially liked the Thanksgiving card with the way you combined the stencil and modeling paste only on part of the card and the leaves are gorgeous!
