Hello! I’m back today with more planning ideas for the new year. Yesterday I shared my crafty planner . Today I’m diving into the fascinating, creative world of bullet journaling! Have you heard of bullet journaling? I’ve just recently discovered it, and I have to say – I am LOVING it!! I am a doodler at heart, and a to-do list maker, and bullet journaling combines both of these favorite things!! And maybe it will even get me organized along the way?? There are several introductory videos on YouTube, but one I especially love is this older video from Boho Berry.
And what I especially love? All of the possibility of incorporating stamps into my bullet journal!
I haven’t started any daily tracking yet in the bullet journaling-style, but I have started a notebook to be my “book of lists”. I’m going to use it to keep track of all the various things I would jot down here and there – on napkins, on post-it notes – who knows where else. One of my goals for 2017 is to read more often. And I mean actual books, not websites or social media! :) So for my first journal list, I recorded a possible reading list for 2017!
As you may have guessed, the Bullet Journaling stamp set was designed specifically with this sort of planning in mind. If you follow the bullet journaling process for actions, events, notes, etc, this stamp set has a bunch of great icons for recording these things. For my list, I used the cute little divider from the set, as well as some of the bullets. I had to use something from Kelly’s Reading Planner , of course! And I created the title by stamping with one of my very favorite alphabet sets, Alpha Tags Stamp & Cut .
On the opposite page, I had a ton of fun adding a little picture using my stamps. I pulled out one of my all-time favorite woodblock stamps, Cup of Coffee, and colored it with pencils. Because really, what’s better than coffee and books? In the background I stamped Kelly’s Wood Grid – it’s such a perfect, subtle background. And the message was spelled out using a fabulous woodblock alphabet set, Essential Uppercase Letters & Numbers .
If you’re at all curious – I highlighted just one book in yellow because I actually ordered that book, so it will be the first I read from my new list!
