December My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #4 + Giveaway!

Welcome back to the countdown! The December My Monthly Hero Kit will be released Monday, December 3 at 10am PST/1 pm EST. Nichol is here with another look at this fun kit...

I am so excited about this incredible kit! I created a magical fairy garden scene by pairing the images from the main kit with the gorgeous Star Light Star Bright Bold Print background.

The Star Light Star Bright Bold Print was stamped on smooth white cardstock with Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch, and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks. For the smooth look, the inks were spritzed with water using a Mini Mister before being stamped.

Once the background was dry, a sentiment from the Main Kit was stamped along the top of the panel with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder.

Images from the Main Kit were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Intense Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. The images were adhered along the bottom edge of the scene with a combination of regular and foam adhesives.

Nuvo Crystal Drops were applied to the fairy wings and ladybug wings for a glittery finish. A white opaque pen was used to add highlight detail.

I hope this has inspired you to try your own scene cards with the December Kit!

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, December 3rd, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific.
