Destination: Australia!

My postbox is constantly bombarded by travel brochures, and that gave me my latest idea. Being that I also love postage stamps and have collected them for creating paper collages, I decided to make an Australian-themed card.

I used Destination Australia and some real Australian postage stamps. Our Nesting Postage Stamps Infinity Dies were the perfect complement to this idea. I started the card by inking the Scribble Bold Prints with Pool ink on a Pool notecard for a faint background. Next I inked the Australia stamp several times in Black ink and stamped on random scraps of paper. I die cut some postage shapes out of Australia and some smaller ones to back the real postage. Also used were some of the travel brochures depicting Australia. The tiny heart is an Infinity Die and the postmark is an old Hero Arts stamp that I cherish and use on everything. You can add color with colored pencils. Mount all in a pleasing arrangement and glue in place.

It makes you feel like you have been down under!!!

Thanks for stopping by, mate!
