With that said, I want to move into our project for today. I have a super simple party decor piece that is easy to create. It is also a great way to use up any of your paper scraps and if you are anything like me, there’s plenty of that around! I actually have my scraps in color bins. What about you? Anyway, my granddaughter turned the big TWO last week and unfortunately we were unable to celebrate with her BUT I could send party decor to her. So I made this fun little table top sign using
Flower Infinity Dies
. She had a donut theme because she loves donuts, and ice cream and pop pops and sprinkles, and pretty much anything sweet. This sign fit right in with her party decor. The supply list is located at the bottom of this post.
If you aren’t great with handwriting, consider using Luggage Tag Alphabet Frame Cuts or create the message using a favorite font and print it out from your computer, trace it onto the signage board with white tracing paper and fill in with a white chalk marker. You can also purchase pre-printed signage and just add the flowers to the board.
The Flower Infinity Die set comes with four flowers in varying sizes and several centers. The flowers can be layered together or used separately, obviously. For this application I chose to create a more dimensional look by doing a few little snips.
Adding these little snips allows the flower to fold up, adding dimension.
When layering the flowers, have the points of the petals fill in at the dips of the flower after it. This allows the flower to look fuller.
Adding a rolled up stamen to the center of the flower also adds height.
It’s easy to create a leaf from the flower die. Again, just a few snips.
And the leaves finish the flower off.
