Dreams Will Blossom... In Pink!

Hi there! Emily Midgett here with you today, and I've got a soft, feminine card for you using some of the new products released this week for March's My Monthly Hero release! We had a beautiful eastern theme for this month's release; cherry blossoms, parasols, koi fish, even dumplings! But for today's post, my project focuses on the new Dreams Will Blossom stamps and coordinating Frame Cuts. Let's get started with all of the details!

I began by stamping two of the bouquets from Dreams Will Blossom and some individual blooms and leaves onto some white cardstock using a very pale gray ink, then used my Copic markers in pretty shades of pale pink and minty green to color the images. I wanted to keep the overall feel of the card very light and airy, so I kept the color combination accordingly pale. I die cut the images using the coordinating Frame Cuts.

Next, I die cut the gorgeous new Cherry Blossom Fancy Die from some heavyweight vellum. I also stamped a greeting from Dreams Will Blossom onto some white cardstock using Intens-ified Black ink, then fussy cut around it with my sharp scissors.

I layered all of the die cuts and the sentiment on an A2 panel of Decorative Woodgrain Cardstock using Precision Glue and foam adhesive, finally adding a few pink enamel dots from the Pinks Hero Hues Enamel Dots for a bit of extra dimension!

Well, that's all for my project today. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

Hello there, Michelle Short here to share a step-by-step tutorial using the Snowflake Background Etched Dies from the Lisa Horton Snowflake Kisses Collection.
