Easy Colored Tulips

Hello and welcome! Seeka here and today I'm sharing a card that comes together quickly thanks to the help of some of the new Color Layering stencils from the 2022 Catalog! I chose pink for these tulips; what color would you choose?

I started off by positioning the first layer of the tulip blooms from the Color Layering Tulip Bouquet Stencils over a 4.25" x 5.5" panel of Dove White cardstock. Using a blending brush, I blended Cotton Candy Mid-Tone Shadow Ink over the exposed area of the stencil. Then I positioned the second layer of the tulip blooms stencil over the panel and blended Pale Tomato Mid-Tone Shadow Ink over it. I repeated these steps for the stencil layers that create the stems and leaves using Green Apple for the bottom layer and Fresh Lawn for the detail layer. See the handy color guide below for more color combinations to try!

With the stenciling complete, I next used Onyx Pigment Ink to stamp the bouquet from the Tulip Bouquet stamp set over the ink-blended image and then cut out the image using the coordinating dies.

I used Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink and White Embossing Powder to heat emboss the sentiment onto Pitch Black cardstock. Then I fussy cut around the sentiment and set it aside with the tulips while I worked on the background.

Next, I used the Rays Of Color Window Fancy Die to cut three pieces of white cardstock. I stacked and glued the layers together and then adhered them to a Dove White Side Folded Card. To finish, I used foam tape to adhere the tulips and sentiment to the front of the card.

Thank you so much for visiting!
