Today we have Kelly Rasmussen here to share some fabulous "beyond the kit" ideas for a few of the extras. Take it away, Kelly...

Coloring die-cuts is one of my favorite ways to use our Metallic Sprays and the new Birds of Paradise Fancy Dies are perfect for this technique.

I used Royal Purple + Gold , Orange + Shimmer , and Bright Yellow + Copper for the flowers. By holding the sprays 1-2" away from the paper you can get more precise with your coloring and achieve some pretty amazing results.

The combination of Spring Green + Gold and Green + Shimmer was perfect for the leaves and stems. These two colors blend beautifully!

I also used the Royal Purple + Gold Two-Tone Metallic Spray to create a light mist of color on the white card base. The layer of vellum over the background allows the die-cuts to really pop!

For my next card I used the detailed Jungle Scene Stencil . This stencil is quite versatile as you can choose to just stencil individual blocks of the scene or multiple blocks, as I have done on my card.

I started out by ink-blending a panel of white cardstock with Creamsicle , Key Lime Fizz , Pool Party , and Thistle Reactive Inks. Then I placed the stencil over the top and used a foam blending tool to apply black ink to four sections of the scene. Make sure to mask off any areas you don't want ink!

I stamped a message from the Jungle Serenity stamp set, which nestled perfectly into the jungle scene. And finally I mounted the panel to a Pitch Black card base.
