February My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #5 + Giveaway

Hello and welcome as we continue the countdown to the release of the February My Monthly Hero Kit! Release day is Monday, February 4th at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. We are here for another day, sharing ideas for using both the main kit, as well as the new optional add-on products that will also be available on Monday. Now let's join Ilina for another look at this fabulous kit.

I hope you are enjoying all the sneak peeks and all the creativity the last couple of days using the new February My Monthly Hero kit. For my card today I wanted to use the dancing couple and create some kind of movement around that. I used Pink Liquid Watercolor and Gold Metallic Glimmer Ink to create a watercolor smoosh background in order to achieve movement in the background. I started by dropping few drops of the Pink watercolor on a craft mat, spraying it with water few times and them smooshing a piece of hot press watercolor paper onto it. I did the same thing with the Gold metallic.

Once I was satisfied with the background I set it aside to dry. In the meantime I stamped the two images that I wanted to use using Intense Black ink and die cut them with the coordinating dies (included in the kit) and set them aside.

When the panel was dry I cut it down to 3 3/4" x 5", stamped the sentiment and border using Intense Black ink and adhered the images using foam mounting tape.

Next I created top folding black note card and adhered the panel lining it up to the top left corner and popped it up on foam mounting tape (or you can use fun foam).

To finish off the card I adhered several confetti sequins that are included in the kit.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, February 4th, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you have creative and fabulous day!
