Heart Shaped Cards with Gold Embossed Background

Can you tell this is my first time making heart shaped cards? I wanted to create something different with a heart shape rather than an A2 sized top folding card. Then I ended up creating a set of congratulations cards.

I started by die cutting the largest heart from Nesting Hearts Infinity Dies out of Pool Mix Layering Papers. Then I stamped the Large Floral Background with VersaMark watermark ink. Next, I heat embossed the stamped image with Gold Embossing powder.

I die cut cheers four times using the word die included in the My Monthly Hero December 2016 Kit. Then I stacked them together with a glue pen, and I popped up the die-cut on the card front using foam tape.

I heat embossed the sentiment from the Many Everyday Messages stamp set with white embossing powder on a piece of black cardstock. To finish it off, I added some gold sequins and clear droplets to add some interest to my card.

I had so much fun making heart-shaped cards. With different sentiments and images, the possibilities are endless!

Before I go, I’d like to share my favorite cards of 2016 that I created with amazing Hero Arts products. It’s truly my honor to be working with talented ladies on the Creative Team.

I also wanted to say HUGE thanks to all of you who left sweet comments and inspired me along the way in this past year. I really appreciate it!

Wishing you a Happy New Year filled with much happiness and creativity!
