Holiday Flourish Border

Hey everyone. It's Dana here with you. I have a quick and simple holiday card to help inspire you to start creating for the holiday season. Using simple borders to dress up a card is just what I have in store for you. Let's get started.

I started off by stamping an image from the new Holiday Flourishes stamp set in Intens-ified Black ink onto Dove White cardstock. You can color in the image or use the coordinating Color Layering Holiday Flourishes Stencils like I did to add color. I used Cherry and Moss Core inks.

Now it was time to trim down the panel to 3 1/4" x 5" and round the corners with a corner chomper. I adhered this panel with Precision Glue to a piece of Pitch Black cardstock trimmed down to 3 3/4" x 5" and also rounded the corners. Setting these panels aside, I worked on stamping the little bear from the Winter Mail Critters set in Intens-ified Black ink onto Dove White cardstock. I colored the bear with alcohol markers in shades of red and green. For the white areas I used a warm gray alcohol marker. I also used the coordinating dies to die cut out my little bear.

Next it was time to put the card together. Since I love the ease of the Hero Arts Side Folded Cards, I used this as my card base. Adhering the stamped panel firmly to the left of the card base gave me a really nice look for my card.

Before I adhered the bear, I stamped a sentiment from the Holiday Flourishes set into the card in Cherry ink. Lastly I popped up the little bear right above the sentiment to complete the card.

This is such a simple card yet it is so adorable. Easy to mass produce as well. I hope I've inspired you to get cracking on those holiday cards. Have a great day everyone.

Such an adorable card. My favorite from the new release is the Mail Critters bundle. Thanks for a chance to win!
