In The Spotlight: Poppy Field Hot Foil Plate

It's time for another product feature for our In the Spotlight series. In this series, we're shining a light on some of our favorite past Hero Arts products, showcasing their timeless appeal with a variety of inspiring card samples. See just how versatile and enduring these products truly are, and get fresh, unique ways to incorporate them into your cardmaking and crafting.

Today's feature is the Poppy Field Hot Foil Plate. This intricate design features a field of poppies in full bloom perfect for creating beautiful backgrounds. It will add a touch of elegance to cards, scrapbook pages, mixed media creations and more!

The Poppy Field Hot Foil Plate looks stunning on white cardstock, adds bold elegance to colored cardstock, and creates truly eye-catching results on an ink-blended background.

On the cards below, Kelly demonstrates how to elevate your foiled backgrounds with selective coloring and ink blending.

After foiling the Poppy Field with gold and silver foils, Kelly ink-blended over the top to create a beautiful gradient background. Then she used alcohol markers to color the open flowers using colors that coordinated with the background. She also added some dot details with a white gel pen to the flower stamens.

For the messages, the words were die cut using gold and silver mirror cardstock and the Friend Words Fancy Dies. The coordinating stamped messages are from the Message Strips Stamp & Cut XL. The mirrored cardstock perfectly coordinates with the foiled background and adds even more shine to this elegant design!

Here are three more card examples to fuel your creativity from current and past Creative Team members. The creative possibilities are endless!

The Poppy Field Hot Foil Plate is a great addition to your crafty stash as it's a versatile design that's perfect for countless occasions.

Happy crafting!
