Ink-Blended Winter Sky

Good morning! Jess here with a card featuring one of this month's add-ons: the beautiful Decorated Winter Branches Fancy Die along with some Reactive ink-blending!

To start, I blended a panel of Hero Hues Dove White Cardstock with Hero Hues Reactive Inks in Blue Hawaii and Grape Slush, and added Intens-ified Black at the top. I dried it briefly with my heat gun and then splattered it with water. I blotted off the excess water to create lighter spots let it dry. Then I splattered it with white gouache to create more dimension in my snowy winter sky. I set that aside to dry completely.

While that was drying I die-cut the Decorated Winter Branches Fancy Die from Hero Hues Pitch Black Cardstock twice. On one panel I stamped the sentiment from Build a Tree with Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat-embossed it with Silver Embossing Powder. On the other panel I pressed the Embossing & Watermark Ink pad all over the panel concentrating on the strings of lights and ornaments and heat-embossed it with Silver Sparkle Embossing Powder. Then I carefully cut the strings of ornaments and lights and adhered them to the sentiment panel with Precision Glue. Once my blended panel was totally dry I adhered the die-cut panel over it and adhered it to a Hero Hues Dove White Top-Folding Card Base to finish the card!

And that's it! I love how the pop of sparkly silver really shines against that blended sky. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous week!
