January My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #1 + giveaway!

MMH Countdown to Creativity

Happy New Year! We hope you've enjoyed the holiday season. We are kicking off the new year right with the start of our our next My Monthly Hero: Creativity in a Box countdown!! Our January kit will go live in the store at noon eastern on Monday, January 4. The kit is a good one, you won't want to miss it! Between now and Monday, we’ll be sharing several samples, showcasing our January kit. Visit every post for a chance to win a kit before you can buy it! Lucy begins our countdown with some beautiful samples. Take it away, Lucy! Today's card is a simple Valentine showcasing lots of different elements in the kit. To make it, I first die cut the paper layering hearts die from some watercolor paper, then loosely painted over it. I splattered the panel with some extra paint, then allowed it to dry. Next, I die cut the word Valentine from black card, and adhered it, along with some sequins from the kit, onto the card. I added a line of stitching, then adhered the finished panel to one of the Blush Folded Cards included in the kit.

To complete the card, I carefully curled the edges of some of the die cut hearts. This adds another tiny touch of dimension.

Lucy played a special role in the creation of this kit - can you guess what that may be? Tune in tomorrow for more info about that! :) And leave a comment today to be entered into the drawing to win a kit before you can buy it! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all of the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, before the kit launches at 12pm eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win! Here's to a creative 2016! team-sig
