July My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #5 + Giveaway

It's time for another countdown peek! The July My Monthly Hero kit will be available to pre-order on Monday, July 13 at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. Now let’s join Ilina for some fabulous inspiration using this month's kit!

Hi everyone! Ilina here. If you are like me you are head over heels for this kit!!! It is AMAZING!

To make the card start by stamping the ocean floor HeroScapes using the following Reactive inks: Pool Party, Blue Hawaii and Key Lime Fizz on Dove White cardstock. Die cut using the coordinating die that comes in the kit and trim down to 4" wide.

Set aside. Using the ruins die from the kit, die cut a piece of the sparkly blue paper that's also comes in the kit. Set it aside.

Next we are going to create the background. Cut piece of Arctic cardstock measuring 4" x 5 1/4". Using an ink blending tool, apply Splash and Pool Party Reactive inks. Starting from the dark on top, lighter towards the middle.

To create the rays coming through the water use the Sun Background stencil and Sea Salt Reactive ink. To extend the rays use some post it notes to mask each section and extend it. Once the ink has dried completely stamp the sentiment using Embossing and Watermark ink and emboss in white. Assemble the elements and adhere to a top folding Dove White note card.

*** Win a kit before you can buy it *** Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post. We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts. The winner will be announced first thing Monday morning, July 13, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Good luck!
