Look, Ma - One Medium!

I have a fun surprise for you today. I used just a single medium on this card - Hero Arts Liquid Watercolor. No ink, nothing else. That shows you how very versatile this medium is. And even more surprising - I used 99% Neon Brights! I did add in black, but it's amazing what you can do with neons.

I started by cutting a circle of watercolor paper with my Circle Infinity Dies - my trusted friends - and also using the Mushroom & Ferns Fancy Dies to cut out watercolor paper - I love these dies.

I painted the circle and the botanicals with a combo of Neon Brights Liquid Watercolor and Black Liquid Watercolor. (Color links below this post.) Look at the range of colors you can get with this few pigments!

I accented them only with a white and black paint pen.

The stamping on the half circle is done by mixing a brown with Brights Red and Brights Green, and inking up the stamp in a puddle of that and stamping it onto the semicircle with the Positive Script Bold Prints - it stamps so crisply!.

I arranged it all together on my card front, and then picked it up intact with my MISTI sticky mat - you can also use Press 'n Seal but I am out - and then applied glue all over the back and pressed it down onto an old linen card base I had.

I love mixed media so much - but look how much you can do with ONE medium!

This card makes my nature loving heart very happy.

Thanks for stopping by today!
