Making Monochrome Magic with Hot Foiling

Hello there, Michelle Short here sharing a card using the new Cup of Cheer Letterpress + Foil Plate from the Fuel Yule collection with a monochrome color palette.

I started off my card by taking a panel of Cosmic Sky ColorWheel Cardstock and added ink blending around the edges using Nautical Core Ink and a Large Blending Brush.

I then hot foiled the Santa cup image from Cup of Cheer Letterpress + Foil Plate on top using Opaque White Glimmer Hot Foil Roll.

Since I wanted the image to be monochrome, I colored it using coloring pencils in shades of blue, adding in a lot of highlights with a white pencil to help it pop from the background.

The panel was then adhered to an A2 (4.25" x 5.5") card base made from more Cosmic Sky ColorWheel Cardstock.

Whilst there are sentiments in the Cup of Cheer set, I opted for a simple sentiment from the Christmas Sentiment Strips Stamp Set that I stamped onto more Cosmic Sky ColorWheel Cardstock using Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink.

I applied White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. It was die cut using the Sentiment Strips Fancy Die and then into smaller strips. They were adhered to the card with thin foam tape. To finish, I embellished with Hero Hues Red Enamel Dots.

Thank you so much for visiting, I hope you have a wonderful day!
