March My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #5 + Giveaway!

We are back with our third and final day of ideas for using our March My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons, leading up to the release on Monday, March 6th at 1pm eastern/10am pacific. We’ve been sharing inspiration for using the main kit and the optional add-on products all weekend. In this post, Jayne uses stamps and dies from the monthly kit with a sentiment from one of the add-on stamp sets to create a green, garden tool inspired, spring card!

Even if you don’t have a green thumb, I think that you’re going to adore the March My Monthly Hero Kit! Not only does the kit include a huge stamp set with wonderful animal, vegetable, and garden tool stamps but the kit also includes the matching dies!

For my card, I started by stamping a selection of these images onto white layering paper with Intense Black ink. I easily painted each image with watercolors and then used the coordinating dies to cut out each image. I also embossed a fun sentiment from the kit onto some grass green cardstock.

Next, I repeatedly stamped a sentiment from the new add-on set, CM156 Produce and Seeds, onto an angled piece of celadon cardstock with Mint Julep ink. This sentiment is just one of the nine wonderful and “punny” garden messages in this set, which also includes additional produce stamps. It’s a fantastic set and it pairs perfectly with the main kit! I layered the stamped background over an angled white cardstock panel and then secured everything to a pine green card base.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all of the comments left across all countdown posts and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, March 6th, before the kit launches at 1pm eastern. The more you comment, the more chances you’ll have to win!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to stop by later for another look at this month’s amazing kit!
