May My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #7 + Giveaway

MMH Countdown to Creativity

Welcome to our third and final day of sneak peeks of our May My Monthly Hero kit, leading up to the release tomorrow, May 2 at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific! We are so excited about our launch tomorrow, which will feature an amazing blog hop of some of our favorite artists, including another chance to win a free kit! But until then, be sure to comment on this and all of our previous Countdown to Creativity posts - we'll announce our first winner of a May kit first thing tomorrow morning, drawn from all of the comments you've left for us! We have three more ideas to share with you today - the first coming from Creative Team member Mariana...

This is the perfect kit to say thank you or to spread a little kindness. As simple as that. I have created a plain card using one of the optional add-on items of this month's kit, which is a pair of Fancy Dies.

It is hard to see but the card has a double layer of cardstock and vellum. I love the color of the turquoise vellum, and it really stands out with a base of tiffany blue card stock underneath. In this case, I began by heat-embossing the complementary sentiment over the vellum.

Then, I die cut the words using silver metallic card stock, and I adhered them over the vellum as well. To keep the card stock and vellum together, I used a piece of metallic cord. Finally, I adhered some of the gemstones and pearls which are also included in the kit.

The stamp set in the kit features a handwritten "thank you" message and lots of coordinating phrases. The two words, "thank" and "you", are separate images, so you can easily stamp one or both. Here's a list of all the different phrases you can make with these stamps:

  • Thank you for always being so kind
  • Thank you for lending a helping hand.
  • Thank you - Your kindness means so much to me
  • You are a great asset to our community
  • You are a great coach
  • You made my day
  • You are the best
  • You are a wonderful teacher
  • You are so special
  • You have a heart of gold
  • You make me smile
  • You make a difference
  • You are a blessing

There is truly something for everyone!
