May My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #1 + Giveaway

Hello and welcome as we begin the countdown to the release of the May My Monthly Hero Kit! Release day is Monday, May 6 at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. Our Creative Team will be here for the next three days sharing ideas for using the kit, so stay tuned for more inspiration all weekend long! Now let's join Caly for a first look at this fun and craft-happy kit...

Hi, Friends! It's Caly today with creative idea for the May My Monthly Hero Kit! I love this month's crafty theme and had to make a colorful card to share with you.
I used the image of the paint tube and stamped it 8 times, spacing it perfectly apart using a stamp positioner and Intense Black ink. On a separate piece of cardstock, I stamped the image of the paint palette and brush and colored all the images using Copic markers (R17, R39, Y17, YR04, Y02, YG05, G03, B12, B24, V04, V15, BV00, BV11, RV11, R85, C1, C3, C7, E30, E33, E55).
After coloring, I trimmed my panel 1/4" on the sides and 1/8" off the top and bottom. I wanted to add a bold black accent to my card on the sides and thought this was a good way to frame in my layout.
After die-cutting my palette and brush, I adhered the brush to the palette, then adhered both images to the card using foam adhesive for extra dimension. The sentiment is stamped on black cardstock and embossed with white detail embossing powder. To complete the card, the sentiment is also adhered to the card front with foam adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed this card and hope your day is crafty!
