Mid-Century Modern Holiday Palette

Hi friends! A few years ago, I decided that I really loved the mid-century holiday color palette – the aqua and white and pink and silver trees and decorations were just so fun, I went and bought a turquoise and a pink tree and they make me happy. I also love it on my cards – it's a nice break in people's holiday mail to see a non-traditionally colored card.

The November Layering Stencil of the Month is perfect for color combos like this. For my card I used three different colors: Cotton Candy, Ultra Pink and Granite.

On layering stencils, keep in mind you do not have to have as many colors of ink as you do stencil layers. Simply varying the pressure and the amount of ink you blend can make a single color look like two or even three different inks.

The sentiment is from the Joyful Christmas Messages stamp set, which is packed with messages that you can mix & match to create dozens of combinations.

I'd like to wish you all a happy holiday season!
