Moon Phases Shaker Card

Hola everyone! Thanks for stopping by today! Pocono Pam here sharing a shaker card showcasing the newly released Moon Phases Window Die. This out of the world die is perfect for this month's Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero challenge: Shake It Up! The challenge encourages cardmakers to create shaker cards in all shapes and sizes. The fun part is to make them shake with whatever you've got: sequins, beads, die-cuts or whatever your heart desires!

For my card, I started by die-cutting the Moon Phases Window Die onto a Pitch Black 4.25" x 5.5 " card panel.

Next, I cut Classic Vellum Layering Paper to 5.75" x 7" and scored at 3/4" on all sides. I trimmed off all four corner of the vellum as it will be easier to fold. To continue, I placed a Dove White 4.25" x 5.5 " card panel down onto the center of the vellum, place double-sided adhesive on 3 of the vellum flaps and adhered them to the panel. This now creates an envelope.

I placed a handful of Champagne Sequins Mix into the "envelope" and sealed the fourth flap and adhered the vellum shaker to Dove White A2 card base.

Next, I adhered the black Moon Phases panel to the vellum adding additional sequins.

To complete my shaker card, I stamped a sentiment from the Orbit clear stamp set in Pitch Black ink onto Dove White cardstock and adhered it to the shaker card front!

For additional shaker card inspiration, please check out the Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero December Challenge. If you want to play along, there is still time to join the challenge! Entries must be submitted by Sunday, January 1st at 5:00pm PT to be eligible for the giveaways.

Have an amazing day and a happy, crafty holiday season!
