Today we're delighted to have Creative Team member Jayne Nelson here to share some fabulous "beyond the kit" ideas for a few of the add-ons.

I’m very pleased to be sharing two cards that I made with a few of this month’s new add-on stamp sets. My first card features the wonderful Twelve Days of Christmas stamp set paired with a fun sentiment banner from the Winter Wishes Bundle . Both of these sets include a variety of classic sentiments and traditional images that can be used to create beautiful holiday cards, holiday wrap, and seasonal scrapbooks.

After stamping and clear embossing the twelve days of Christmas phrases and images onto a trimmed panel of Dove White cardstock, I used assorted Reactive Ink colors, mixed with water, to paint each of the pictures. I added an Arctic mat behind the stamped panel and then secured it to a Kiwi card base. To complete the card, I added a small, Pine fishtail banner with a white embossed Happy Holidays sentiment. I also embellished the card with a trio of Blue Enamel Dots .

My second card features the graphic Ornaments Grid Bold Prints background. To create a subtle background, I stamped the design onto a piece of white cardstock with Peony ink and then secured it to a Peony card base. Next, I randomly stamped words from the Winter Wishes bundle across the background with Intens-ified Black ink. I also added a few small Cherry hearts that I die-cut with the Nesting Hearts Infinity Dies .

To create gift boxes on the card, I cut rectangles from Cherry and Bermuda cardstock and secured them to the card with foam tape. Then, I stamped, colored, and die-cut a pair of bows that I secured to the top of each gift with Precision Glue . I added a Mist sentiment banner across the gifts that I stamped with the optional banner outline stamp. For some finishing shine, I added three, Pink Enamel Dots to the completed card.

Two darling cards by Jayne! I love the design of the 12 Days of Christmas card – definitely inspired me to order that set! And how creative to add some words randomly to the ornament background – love it!

Linda Wetterlin,

Wonderful creations. The packaging idea is great.
