November My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + Giveaway

It's time for our final countdown peek before the release of the November My Monthly Hero kit! The kit will be available tomorrow, Monday, November 4 at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. Now let’s join Ilina, who is sharing one more look at this month's cozy kit!

Hi everyone! Ilina here. Christmas is my favorite season for crafting and this month's kit is all about it. The kit has so many possibilities from handmade gift packaging to cards. For today I decided to create a three-fold card using two Dove White top folding note cards and of course the kit.

To make the card I started by die cutting the cover plate die (removed the frame die, so I was left only with the paper layering piece) on the front of one of the two note cards. Once die cut, I colored the front using alcohol based markers.

Once colored I stamped "hello" on the door mat, die cut a wreath, colored and adhered to the door. I trimmed 1/16" from the length of the back of the note card. I added some of the glitter lacquer pen included in the kit to accent the panel. Let it dry.

Take the second note card and trim 1/16" off the bottom of the front of the note card. Turn the note cards so the fold is on the bottom and stamp the images. Additionally stamp the dog on the rug and the stair garland, color and die cut.

Adhere to the stamped panel. Take the two non-decorated sides of the two note cards and adhere together, so the top is opening up (door) and the inside is opening down, to create a three-fold card. Decorate with more glitter lacquer pen and let it dry before closing the card.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post. We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts. The winner will be announced first thing Monday morning, November 4, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Good luck!

Is there a video for this? I do not understand the instructions. Also I’d like to know if the brick background is a stamp or hand done. Thank you.

Selena,

I love this card!!
I wish Tonic would give instructions out to their more complicated dies.

Rosemary Paul,

This is such a cute set. Love the versatility of the stamps. You can make a lot of different cars, tags, gift bags. I can’t wait.

Maddalena Stamoulis,

Discovered you through Jennifer Mcguire you tube videos. Just getting started with card making and anxious to use your products.

Ashley Goforth,

Very nice!
