Party Pig!

Hello there, Michelle here sharing a card using the new Hay Party Animals stamp set that was released as part of this month's My Monthly Hero add-ons. It is a wonderful set filled with lots of animals and sentiments. Since I love pigs, I went straight for the pig for my card today!

Hay Party Animals by Michelle Short for Hero Arts

I started off by die cutting a panel of watercolour paper using one of the Rounded Rectangle Infinity Dies. I took Distress Inks in blues and greens and blended these on to the panel to create a background. I took the 'happy birthday' sentiment from the Hay Party Animals set and stamped this on to the panel using Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set.

I then took the pig from the set and stamped this on to white cardstock using Intense Black Ink. I coloured him with Copic Markers and then fussy cut him out with scissors, but there are coordinating frame cuts available. I took a panel of white cardstock and embossed lines on to it using a scoring board and bone folder. This was added to a white A2 card base with tape runner and then the ink blended piece added on with foam tape. To finish off, the pig was added above the sentiment with more foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by today, happy stamping!
