Joy to the World

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! Ilina here today with a fun and non traditional Christmas card using the Joy to the World wood block stamp as the focal point, along with the Color Layering Trimmings set to add extra details to frame the sentiment.

To make the card start by stamping Joy to the World onto black card stock using Versamark ink, then emboss it with Detail White embossing powder. Trim the panel to 3 3/4" x 5" making sure that the sentiment is in the center. Using the branch (second layer) from the Color Layering Trimmings set, I created a frame around the sentiment using Versamark ink and embossed with Detail White embossing powder.

Next, stamp the ornament using Pale Tomato, Strawberry and Charcoal ink and use the coordinating Frame Cuts die cut them.

Adhere to panel using foam mounting tape to add dimension. Adhere the panel to a red card base using foam mounting tape or fun foam and add red enamel dots to add more interest and details.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope you are inspired to do something creative today.

Mindy Drummond,

Such a beautiful card!

Bessie,

Wow! What a stunning card! I’m loving the bright white on the black with the touch of red. Just gorgeous! I like nontraditional as much as traditional but both have to be done right. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us!

Jackie Price,

Karthikha Uday,

Hello there, Michelle Short here to share a step-by-step tutorial using the Snowflake Background Etched Dies from the Lisa Horton Snowflake Kisses Collection.
