Saturdays with Sally: Bring on Spring!!!

We are SOOOO ready for Spring. Even in Palm Springs, CA where it is usually warmish in winter, it has been anything but.

The new Plant Metaphors stamp set can help bring on Spring! I absolutely LOVE using almost every stamp in a set! I make it my challenge! For this first card, I chose a darker green - Pine Core Ink - for the words kind of scattered on a white panel. Then I used water-based markers for the little icons to stamp next to the words. If you have small ink cubes, you can use those too. Mount it on a Mustard card.

Cultivate Happiness uses the icons again, all scattered on a white card with either pads, markers or ink cubes. I'll link some of the ink colors in the thumbnails below. Stamp the words in Pitch Black on a strip of Bermuda cardstock and add Enamel Dots.

I couldn’t resist making a little tag with the tiny plant icon. Ink with markers repeatedly and watch your flower grow. Add message, enamel dot and mount onto Azalea cardstock. Punch hole and add cord.

Thanks for stopping by today,

Great cards. I struggle with small images, but I love your examples. Thanks for the inspiration.

Joan VanCourt,

What a great set! And how delightful your cards are!

Debossed Snowflake Christmas Card Tutorial with Snowflake Background Etched Dies

Hello there, Michelle Short here to share a step-by-step tutorial using the Snowflake Background Etched Dies from the Lisa Horton Snowflake Kisses Collection. The Snowflake Background Etched Dies are two layers which you can cut as a base layer and a top layer. For my card today, instead of having die cut layers, I thought that I would deboss the design. DEBOSSING THE DIE Place...
