September My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #5 + Giveaway

The countdown to the release of the September My Monthly Hero Kit continues! Release day is Tuesday, September 3rd at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. Remember, we have one extra day of peeks this month due to the Labor Day holiday. Now let's join Ilina for another look at this fabulous kit!

Hi everyone! Fall is almost here, even though it doesn't feel like that in Georgia. With fall coming in few weeks we are celebrating it with the September My Monthly Hero kit. The kit comes with a Peek-a-Boo die!!!! If you love the Hero Arts Peek-a-Boo dies, this kit is a MUST. But you can also use the stamp and the other dies without the Peek-a-Boo dies.

The stamp set in the kit includes a lot of images to make fall, Halloween, friendship, and if you want to even beach themed cards. For my card today I decided to go with a fall color scheme of brown and gold and make a friendship card.

I stamped the grid background using Clear Embossing and Watermark ink on a 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of brown shimmery card stock (comes with the kit and it's amazing) and embossed using Gold embossing powder. Then I stamped the individual elements and embossed them in gold. From the "I treasure our friendship stamp", only stamped "I" and then "our friendship" and embossed in gold. I colored with pearlescent watercolors.

Next I cut "treasure" from gold cardstock three times, adhered all layers together, and added it to the panel. Then I added Clear Enamel Dots and adhered the panel to a Top Folded Dove White note card.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you are inspired with all the ideas how to use the September My Monthly Hero kit.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post. We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts. The winner will be announced first thing Tuesday morning, September 3rd, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!
