Simple and Elegant Floral Letterpress Card

Hello and welcome! Seeka here and today I'm sharing a card featuring the Floral Frame Letterpress + Foil Plate from the Lovely Letterpress Collection. This beautiful image easily fills a 4.25" x 5.5" card front and it's so fun to color!

I started off by centering the Floral Frame plate within the A2 guidelines on the magnetic chase of my BetterPress Letterpress system. Next, I used low-tack tape to temporary stick an A2 Cotton Card Panel within the A2 guidelines of the clear plate of the system. I inked up the Floral Frame plate with Cornflower Corn Ink, placed the clear plate onto the platform, and then ran the platform through my Platinum Six machine. Next, I removed the Floral Frame plate and centered the Hello sentiment, from the Best Wishes Letterpress + Foil Plate Set, with the A2 guidelines. I inked the sentiment with Cosmic Sky ink from the Regal Tones BetterPress Ink Mini Set, replaced the clear plate, and ran the platform through the Platinum Six.

After removing the card panel from the clear plate, I got out a handful of pretty pastel Copic markers and colored the image. I used R01 and R22 for the pinks and reds, YR31 for the yellows, G21 and G40 for the leaves, and B21 for the bodies of the butterflies.

To finish, I glued the card front to an A2-sized card base.

Thank you so much for visiting!
