Sparkly New Year

Hi everyone! Ilina here! Today I am sharing super sparkly New Year's card. It's New Year so it has to sparkle ;)

For my card I used the Slimline Christmas and New Year Cover Plate. I actually used only portion of it, the Happy New Year part. That makes this die extra versatile, as you can use it for Christmas, New Year's, or both together!

To make the card, start by die cutting only the portion that says Happy New Year using Silver Glitter paper from the Glitter Paper Holiday Sparkle Pack. You can cut the entire die if you want to use the other portion/letters for another project or do 2-for-1 cards, or even 3-for-1 if you use all parts of it, not just the letters.

Once you have die cut it from the glitter paper, die cut the same letters from Dove White cardstock (or you can also use Pitch Black) 2-3 times. Stack the letters to create dimension. Set aside to let the adhesive dry.

While the letters are drying, cut a piece of Pitch Black cardstock measuring 4" x 5 1/4". Stamp the Fireworks Bold Prints background using Clear Embossing and Watermark ink and emboss using Silver Sparkle Embossing Powder.

Adhere the letters. I used the negative from the letters to help with the spacing and to line them up nicely. Add Sparkle Clear Lacquer Pen details.

Let it dry. Cut piece of Silver Glitter paper to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (A2 size). Adhere the panel to it, then adhere to Top Folding Dove White note card! You are finished!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you have an amazing day!

Wonderful versatility from the cover plate die usage. Great sparkly background to complement the sentiment.
