Now how about some creative inspiration to further sweeten the day? Lydia has a wonderful card idea for you that features Beelieve, the companion set to Sweet As Honey.

Hi friends! Lydia here with a little no-line watercolor with image modification – and a chonky bee! Sweet as Honey and Beelieve are fan favorites for a reason – both are beautiful with a HUGE variety of techniques, so today I'm going to give you some tips for how I created today's scene.

I started by stamping the outline honeycomb image in Contour Ink onto cold press watercolor paper. I usually stamp it several times. Then I painted the individual cells of the honeycomb shapes with Daniel Smith watercolor, adding darker color at the edges for dimension. When that was all done, I freehand painted the comb around them – filling in the spaces between the hexagons to make it look like a three dimensional piece of honeycomb! I added highlights with a white paint pen on the cells for the shine.

I used my teeniest brush to make the bee fuzzy after painting him – so cute and easy – look how much it adds to the bee illusion.

Thanks for buzzing by. Happy Friday and happy weekend!
